Never before has so much fun done so much good! April 28th saw another successful LAX OUTCANCER event and made money for children battling cancer.
This exciting, full-day event brought people together from several communities. People of all ages enjoyed delicious food, hair extensions, face-painting, the street fair and, of course, incredible lacrosse action.
The Boys Shoreham-Wading River Wildcats took on the Pleasantville NY Panthers while the Girls Varsity and Rocky Point went head to head. The Junior Varsity boys squad also played Pleasantville. The competition was thrilling for everyone who watched the teams play.
The biggest challenges are the point of LAX OUT CANCER—directly helping children fighting against this deadly disease. Four area children were the stars of the event, with everyone cheering on Eric, Blake, Jackson and Kaelyn. Proceeds from the day will provide these children and their families with support in their fight against cancer. Everyone in the Shoreham-Wading River Community—and beyond—wishes them all the best in the future.
The team at Habberstad BMW was also helping the cause. Habberstad BMW donated a top-of-the-line BMW bicycle to be raffled off, with proceeds to LAX OUT CANCER. Kaan Celebi, the winner of the draw, can be found working at St. Charles Hospital.
To the people who attended and volunteered at this truly remarkable event, thank you. To Eric, Blake, Jackson and Kaelyn, fight hard! If you couldn’t make the event, you can still take part by going online at:
And to everyone—make plans to join next year’s LAX OUT CANCER. Together, we can make a difference while having fun.
